Hello, I’m Lynda
I've spent 30 years in business - managing director, commercial director, agency owner. I'm a CIMA-qualified management accountant who genuinely loves a good spreadsheet.
The first half of my career (so far), was in the tech corporate world of commercial performance and product development. The entrepreneurial drive moved my career into the agency sector, and deep into the operational trenches of web development. Building teams, driving cultural change, chasing revenue, putting out fires.
A couple of years ago, I stepped back and asked myself some bigger questions. Trying to find my passion and a sense of purpose. What impact did I actually want to have? What kind of business leader did I want to be?
During that time, I completed a Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership Women’s Leadership programme, got involved with the UK Women's Budget Group, and volunteered with UN Women UK at CSW69. It changed everything. All those years of business experience suddenly clicked into place with a much clearer purpose.
My journey hasn't been perfect. I've made mistakes, faced challenges, and learned lessons the hard way. I've navigated perinatal mental health while running a business, and perimenopause as a leader in a predominantly male team. I'm a solo parent to a neurodiverse family. These experiences have shaped how I understand what inclusive workplaces actually need to look like.
Now I work as a non-executive director and consultant, helping small business owners - particularly agencies - build companies that work for everyone. Not just the bottom line, but for their teams, their communities, and the planet.
I'm obsessed with gender pay gaps, diversity, and sustainable business practices. Not because they're trendy, but because the data is clear: they make businesses more profitable, more innovative, and more resilient.
Now I get to combine my finance background and my business leadership experience with the passion that drives me to eradicate the gender pay gap, to help you run a more equitable, profitable and sustainable business.
I don't claim to know everything - no one does. But I've built a network of brilliant specialists I trust and can call on when you need expertise beyond my own.
No corporate jargon, no eye-watering consultancy fees, just honest advice from someone who's been where you are. But with purple hair.
I’m based in Berkshire, working with businesses across the UK.
